Distribution and power transformers come in a number of varieties. Oil filled transformers, dry type transformers, cast resin transformers, midel transformers. Capacity for distribution transformers is between 25kva to 10mva in all types of distribution & power transformers.
Distribution and power transformers are rated up to 36Kv. Oil filled, distribution transformers are generally manufactured completely in house and are hermetically sealed transformers, above 2000kva distribution transformers are fitted with a conservator and oil level indicator. Distribution transformers come with a large range of fittings, including, thermometer pocket, lifting lugs, earthing terminal, oil drain valve, rollers or skids, silica gel breather, buchholz relay, pressure relief device, elastimold plug in bushings, auxiliary box & protective relays.

These transformers have high applications on power sectors and industries as they need high range of powers. So manufacturing of transformers is being a hot business in India and many large countries, it nearly had 25 million U.S $ against international bidding.
